Safe Space is a support group that provides the SD transgender/nonbinary/gender-diverse/Two-Spirit community to connect and communicate with peers about ongoing issues that are directly affecting the community. It is a safe space that allows everyone the opportunity to give and receive support in their personal experiences and share the knowledge and familiarity that comes with those experiences. Group members are able to find connections to the community, strengthen resilience, increase access to resources and services, and have the benefit of learning through other people's experiences while also sharing their own.

Tonight we have Paint & Sip from 6pm to 8pm! Follow along with the guided painting or create something unique. This is an optional activity. You must be 21+ to bring your own beer or wine. Please note that events at the Prism Center are always alcohol free unless otherwise stated, like this event.

Prism Healing Lab Event #1: Family Event

The Prism Healing Lab is an event series that will be taking place throughout the fall at the Prism Center, bringing art therapy programming to queer people and their families for personal growth and community care. 

As the first event of this series, we invite 2SLGBTQ+ people and their families to participate in an evening centered around family and what that means to one another. This will be an all-ages event where Jo, our MSW intern, will be answering your questions and leading a discussions about how to best support the 2SLGBTQ+ people in your lives. This conversation will take place while participants work on an art project centered around community to add as a permanent addition to the Prism Center

What to expect: You will be able to submit your questions or topics you'd like for Jo to cover when you sign up. If you think of something you'd like to add to the discussion later, there will be a question box at the event. Half the event will be a Q&A with Jo and the other half will be a time to chat with people at your table with discussion prompts provided while doing the art activity!

It’s D&D 4th Wednesdays! Every fourth Wednesday of the month we’ll have a Dungeon Master at drop-in hours, ready to lead you on an adventure! Don’t worry if you’ve never played before, they’ll make sure that it is beginner-friendly. Plus you will not have to be present every single time in order to participate, you can join in at any time.
One session starts at 5pm, and another session starts at 6:30pm.

Mike Maimone: Guess What? I Love You Album & Book Release Tour

A night of music and readings devoted to love and healing.

Celebrate with Mike Maimone, on tour for the release of his 15th album and 1st book, both called Guess What? I Love You.

The companion pieces are a tribute to his late husband Howard Bragman, who championed the LGBTQ+ community by helping celebrities navigate their coming out journeys, and was a beloved Hollywood luminary appearing on shows from RuPaul's Drag Race to Good Morning America.

Maimone's piano-based music is often compared to Randy Newman, Leon Russell, Tom Waits, and Dr. John. With over 200 published songs, he has been heard on Spotify and Apple Music editorial playlists, movie and TV soundtracks, on the radio, and he has performed at major festivals and iconic venues across the country and internationally, toured with bands including Blues Traveler, Plain White T's and OK Go, and shared the stage with the legendary Stevie Wonder.

Doors open at 7pm, the show starts at 8pm and runs about 75 minutes.
