Join us at the Prism center for a beginner-friendly introduction into journaling and non-fiction writing!
Writers at all levels are welcome! This event is open to LGBTQ+ individuals aged 18 and above who are looking to improve their writing and journaling skills.
Interested in learning more about creative writing? Join us at the Prism center for a beginner-friendly introduction into journaling and creative writing! Writers at all levels are welcome! The workshop will be lead by our Transformation Project Magazine staff, Morgan Peterson and Amanda Swenson. Morgan and Amanda have degrees in non-fiction creative writing and journalism respectively, and are excited to guide you through short writing prompts to reflect on your identities and experiences! The hour long workshop will be followed by optional office hours with Morgan if you are interested in expanding your journal writing into a full essay.
The writing prompts will guide you through remembering and reflecting on impactful experiences in your life, and will be followed by brief teachings by Morgan using passages from their favorite authors. The workshop will end with tips and tricks on how to keep and organize a journal as well as brainstorming the things that you’d like to write about going forward!

Lace up those running shoes and get ready to paint the town in every color of the rainbow! Join us on June 1st for the Rainbow Run 5k Fun Run, kicking off Pride Month with a burst of energy and inclusivity!
This event benefits the Prism Center - Supporting 2SPLGBTQ+ community empowerment. Ticket sales and sponsorships help us pay for essential programming, community events, building costs, and services to help our Prism Center run smoothly. Are you an individual or business that doesn't have the capacity to sponsor but would still like to help contribute to fundraising for this cause? Create a team!
Here's how to make a fundraising team:
Come up with a fun team name representing your business or group!
Encourage as many runners as possible to join your team when they register for the event.
Your team is also welcome to collect crowd donations to donate on the day of the event to go towards your final fundraising amount, and it will count towards your total.
The team that raises the most runners and money will win a prize!

Pride Youth Camp at Outlaw Ranch
Pride Camp at Outlaw Ranch
Pride Camp at Outlaw Ranch is a new week of faith-based camp in western South Dakota for 14-18-year-old LGBTQIA+ youth and their allies, offering a summer camp experience in the incredible setting of the Black Hills. Participants will have a full slate of camp activities including hiking, paddleboarding, horseback riding, games, campfires, worship, and so much more! As a faith-based camp of the ELCA Lutheran church, we will have bible studies each day teaching God’s abundant love for all people.

Safe Space is a support group that will provide the SD transgender/nonbinary/gender-diverse/Two-Spirit community to connect and communicate with peers about ongoing issues that are directly affecting the community. It is a safe space that allows everyone the opportunity to give and receive support in their personal experiences and share the knowledge and familiarity that comes with those experiences. Group members will be able to find connections to the community, strengthen resilience, increase access to resources and services, and have the benefit of learning through other people's experiences while also sharing their own.

Safe Space is a support group that will provide the SD transgender/nonbinary/gender-diverse/Two-Spirit community to connect and communicate with peers about ongoing issues that are directly affecting the community. It is a safe space that allows everyone the opportunity to give and receive support in their personal experiences and share the knowledge and familiarity that comes with those experiences. Group members will be able to find connections to the community, strengthen resilience, increase access to resources and services, and have the benefit of learning through other people's experiences while also sharing their own.
