Mental health clinicians in Aberdeen! Please join Transformation Project and the Inclusive Care Collaborative for our in-person educational 3 Part Provider Series of Gender Affirming Care! Hosted by Dakota Group. This series offers 3 CEUs for the total series for mental health providers in South Dakota.

101: Providing Gender Affirming Care:
We will be defining basic terminology used by LGBTQ+ clients, types of transitions, and what affirming care means. We will address WPATH, and myths about GNC people.
201: Barriers to Care: Gender Affirming Care 201: We will explore health disparities faced by the LGBTQ+ population. Look at real life examples of discrimination and microaggressions faced by LGBTQ+ South Dakotans. Address how to alleviate some of the discrepancies.
301: Letter writing: Gender Affirming Care 301: We will teach you how to write letters for clients who are transitioning, providing templates to participating providers. Explain why letter writing is so important, and the criteria for gender dysphoria.

Trans Day of Visibility
TDOV 2026 is going to be about teaching practical tools to help regulate our nervous systems during difficult times. Instead of focusing on how trans people are perceived by society and in politics, we're taking time to be intentional about the way we see ourselves and our community. Join us for an afternoon of mediation, crafting, food, friends, and to take home practical tools to put your body and mind at ease when tensions are running high.

Lunch will be provided at 12pm! Please fill out the sign up form to let us know how many people to expect for each session and if you plan to eat with us! If you have any dietary restrictions or accessibility needs, please let us know in the form as well. We look forward to building community and self care skills with you, we'll see you at the Prism Center!
Event schedule and mini workshops:
12-1pm: Slime Making - we'll have all the supplies you need to make a slime concoction! We'll have glitter, charms, your choice of scents and colors, and a mason jar to put it in with encouraging words from some of our volunteers for you to take home!
1-2pm: Mini Safe Space Workshop - Brynn and Maisy will be teaching practical somatic mental health tools to utilize to regulate your nervous system and manage what is in your control when the world feels chaotic.
2-3pm: Build a Frog - beginner friendly mini frog plush sewing activity with a soothing lavender sachet sewn inside. If you don't know how to sew, we will teach you!
3-4pm: Yoga with Alyssa - Join Alyssa Albrecht for a 45 minute beginner-friendly sitting yoga class! This class will be done sitting up, and cushions will be provided. Alyssa will be teaching breath work and meditation techniques to connect to your body in an affirming way

Hello, my name is Alyssa (any/all). I’ve completed 400 hours of training across a variety of yoga formats. In my classes I like to weave in playfulness and free movement while providing a supportive environment. I’m here to guide you through class, but this is ultimately your practice and your time to be curious, explore your mind–body connection, and spend time moving in a way that feels authentic to you!

Rooted in resilience across generations, we continue to show up, grounded in care and community, working toward a South Dakota where trans people are not pushed to leave the place they grew up. Generations of trans lives, families, and futures are rooted here.
Join us at the 4th Annual TPAN Fundraising Gala as we strengthen our capacity to respond to discriminatory legislation, expand life-saving resources, and stand alongside trans South Dakotans. Together, we are investing in a future where trans people are safe, supported, and able to live openly and authentically right here in South Dakota.

The Dyke Rave is a free event taking place on Valentine’s Day at the legendary Nordic Hall with support from HiFi Hair. The event will feature four DJs and is intended to create a wintertime space where queer and trans people can come together to dance, relax, and exist safely in community. This is an 18+ event.
